2009 THOMPSON REUNION AT BEAR LAKE

WEDNESDAY MORNING July 15, 2009. IDEAL BEACH RESORT AT BEAR LAKE

This grandma had a very wonderful time watching all the children play games. Here you'll see a mix of Laura, Charlotte, Joyce and Holly's families, along with Lisa, Janet, Shauna and Erika's families. Also included are Scott and Julie's family. The mix is what makes it all worthwhile.
Ideal Beach Resort boasts a beautiful lawn and lots of room to play. Plus, it's fun to play in perfect weather, with a beautiful blue lake close by.

What I enjoyed was seeing all ages play together!THIS IS LIVING THE GOOD LIFE!

Janet, Erika and Lisa were in charge of these fun games for all ages!

These are the impressionable years. These kids will always remember these happy times.

Erin, Claire, Brian Thompson and Darin Anderson play ball!

Ryan Orantia, Michael Gallagher and Ethan, close cousins!

Jared Orantia enjoys the excitement, too!

This is between games. Some won prizes!

Look who's out in front! It's Aaron Jensen having fun, too!

Holly and Faith Evans are interested bystanders while Papa Heninger takes pictures.

Janet and Erika take a moment to rest from their labors. After all, they were in charge of the games. So creative; so fun! Mya is having fun, too!

Great-Grandmother enjoys the action sitting down and talking to the boys one on one.

Sara Jensen seems really happy. Her dad played the games, too!

Lindsay Carling, Olivia Jensen and Samuel Anderson watch the others finish their rounds.

Erika is a good mom, with Ryan, Jared and Aaron Jensen looking on.

Darin, Gale and his oldest grandson, Shaun Gallagher

Holly, Faith, Erika and Mya. Cute shot!

Aaron and Papa

Julie's game. Fun! Look at Aubrey and Olivia in frightful anticipation!

My two babies, Aaron Jensen and Ian Anderson

Even Uncle Gale took time out to play.

Aaron and Grandma Starr take a walk while taking pictures of everyone.

David Barker teaches Ian how to play volleyball. David is so patient!

Mommy, please hold me!

The next soccer star...Ian Anderson!

Ready for a balloon game! Note those cute sisters and moms: Erika, Janet and Lisa. This is one of my favorite shots. I love to see families helping one another.

Sara and Madeline Jensen and Lindsay Carling are set to play!

Lots of fun memories for all ages.

Oh, there's our soccor hero! Hi Ian!

Clark Jensen and Scott Thompson compete in a throw.

Don't pop the water balloons!

Sara's supposed to put the green water balloon in the green bowl without looking, without popping any other balloons! This looks impossible!

Oops! Ian fell off the ball!

He'll get back on the ball. Way to go, Ian!

Jason Jensen takes time out. He's having fun!

Erin and Julie Thompson visit Great-Grandmother while Carsten Jensen observes the activity.

Joyce and Holly are content to watch, too.

Gale is very proud of his oldest son, Kent.

Later, the Brent and Kaye Starr crew head back to the condos for some food.

Joseph Heninger, Seth and Darin Anderson

A grandma, a grandpa and a great-grandmother looks at Gale's modern-day covered wagon.

Three wonderful two-year-olds: Ian, Faith and Aaron enjoy a sweet surprise. Thanks, Julie for provide fun for these toddlers!

And thanks, Julie, for providing the best seats in the house!

They're still playing...smashing each other's balloons!

Preston Carling and and David Barker enjoy a good lunch!

Joyce and Holly: such good moms!

Such good children!

Faith visits all the cousins, aunts and uncles. "These reunions are fun!" She exclaims.

There's our sports hero! Ian, you won the game!

Joseph and Levi compete to see who's the fastest. I think Levi won!

Faith is learns how to catch a ball.

She squeels with delight!

Just hangin' out!

Sweet little angels.

Kent loves Grandmother.

There's my other favorite guys: Ethan, Cole, Crew, Janet, Joseph and Duke.

Another proud Papa with his girls: Kathy, Lisa and Janet.

We just can't get enough of all this love!

Ladies and Gentlemen: this family is very happy!

Another time; another day: Carsten Jensen enjoys the sun and sand at the beach.
Gale and Kathy go for their morning walk. AAhhhh! Fresh air!

Three beauties pose for lots of fun in the sun: Lindsay, Sara and Madeline.

Brent pauses with Gale and Kathy at Kaye Starr's favorite walking spot. Oh, I love this place!
Preston and Lindsay waiting with their mom, Laura Barker, for the show to begin. This picture was taken at Pickleville Playhouse, 2009
Great-Grandparents find this is almost too much fun!
But they have fun, anyway! Even Grandpa Jim enjoyed seeing the gang again!
Say cheese! Pretty girls; pretty picture!

Duke, Preston and Jackson Greene enjoy a moment before the dinner in the Reunion Center.
Glenda is making her famous Teriyaki Chicken!
Kaye Starr and Grandmother organize all the great food we're about to eat.
Have rope, will swing! Another one of Joseph's great inventions!
Shooting the bull: What's more fun than that!
You'll see Grant, Rick, Preston, Brent David, Joseph and Clark
Too bad Grandpa Thompson isn't here to enjoy this fun, but Jim Bradley helps Mama be happy.
There's the happy couple! Duke and Lauren beam with their forthcoming marriage October 8th.
Eric and Lisa Gallagher are very happy to enjoy the festivities!
It was fun to watch pictures of the treasure hunt action. The youth had more fun together this year than any other year, I do believe!
Clark and Kent finally caught up on old times after all these years.
Heather, Shauna and Laura: these cousins hadn't visited for a few years, either.
These teens are now in their 30's! I can't believe it! Time passes so quickly!
Uncle Gale relates a very interesting segment of the Thompson ancestry.
Food, fun and laughter at the Reunion Center
Another Grandpa Thompson (Gale) teaches the younger generation about our great-grandmother, Eliza Galloway Lowe. Aubry, Eli, Olivi and Seth roll-play her family's
pioneer trek to Utah.
Erika takes time out with Mya.
Gale Thompson prepares the skit.
These three boys are here to learn about the Thompson family, and play some games, too!
Ethan, Ryan and Roy
Friday games inside the Reunion Center. Certain cousins (parents of young families) were assigned to oversee each game. It turned out to be successful.
Grant, Heather, Laura and Holly
Another shot of the pioneer trek re-enactment.
I think all the youngsters were involved on that one!
It got everyone's attention!
They were either tired or stuck in the chair!
To me, a grandmother of many, I recall this activity as one of the highlights of the whole reunion. Hopefully the kids will remember some of it!
Brent David, Ricky and Joseph help Grandmother climb a mountain. What a feat!
She's actually doing it! She received more energy that day because of the climb!
Huff, huff; Puff, puff. This was not easy!
A picnic near Bloomington Lake (or Glacier Lake). A beautiful area.
A typical picture of Grandma Starr...in the dishpan!
There's our family, about to swing on the rope and fall into the freezing waters of Glacier Lake.
Tammy's taking a picture of one of the guys at the end of the rope. Can you make out who it is?
Papa poses in the picture-perfect beautfy.
Joseph and Jen paddle their mattress "canoe" atop the waters.
Well, everyone, this ends our report. Mission accomplished: We played much, loved much and visited much, and we're ready to do it again next year! See you all then!

THE NEXT EXCITING THOMPSON REUNION WILL BE JULY 26, 2010 AT BEAR LAKE!
