Joseph loves games. Have you noticed? He's always happy!
Tammy tries out the hoola-hoop while Jen looks on.

PICNIC WITH JOHNNY

Picnic at Lindsey Park in Salt Lake City.
The Lindsey's were pioneers who started the first public "funpark" in Utah.
They even had whirlygigs and giant teeter-totters, just like Papa!
Prowess on the merry-go-round: Rick, center, introduces the game as Joseph, Taylor, Brent David and Preston contemplate the wind-up.
(Guy in front, Buff Jensen, a boyhood friend, came especially to visit with Johnny.) "And the rules are thus..." Ricky explains, but nobody's listening.
Joshie is in his own world, flying an airplane.
Gosh, Josh is so precocious and imaginative!
Oops! Back to the guys! They've all hopped on and have started their ride!
Who's got the better balance? Can you tell?
Carter Greene, Brooke, Sam and Madi Heninger listen to Papa explain about our dream home.
Now all the gang listens to Papa describe a new swimming pool with a high dive.

??? They stand in unbelief.
Johnny contemplates another time, another era.
He reminisces his boyhood valley with the mountains behind.
Everybody gathers on the porch of our possible "dream home" on Tomahawk Drive. After the tour of the home, it was time to eat!It was fun to shop at Smith's together, then eat our munchies.

Joshie is very well-behaved and smart. Papa and Grandma Starr enjoyed watching him play.
Jen and Anne fix some goodies for our picnic.
Joshie likes bagels!
The grassy hill was a gathering place for our tribe. What fun!
Rick, Madi, Taylor, Sam, Preston and Brent David bring out a giant jump rope. We watch from the hill, knowing it is dusk, and our fun party is about to end.

Johnny, Anne and Joshie, please come back real soon, ok? Hey, let's go there!

BRENT DAVID'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

Brent David turns 44 on May 30th. Happy Birthday! Here he is with his best friend and cousin, SteVan Gates. Jolene and Lexie Gates also attended the party.
Francine and I joined in all the fun!
We gather in the basement playroom for a short memorial about the children's anscestors .
This is a happy shot of Ricky, who also appreciated what was said about his family history.
Yum, yum! Hamburgers hot off the grill! Madi, nearly 11 years old, smiles with glee.
Tammy's mother, Barbara Switzer, and brother, Dan. Well, who's that? Dan and Libby have a baby boy, Eddie, named after grandpa Ed Switzer. They have great reason to be proud!
Papa huddles close to Sam, Brent David and Tammy's youngest, who's already five years old!
Preston, their oldest prepares the room for the party. Can you believe he's 17 years old already?
13-year-old Brooke and Kimmi, just turned 17, get in a little horse-play before the eating starts.
Libby and Dan Switzer. Looks like they're still in love!
Joseph is such a joy to have around. We love you!
Francine recalls events in her parents' lives.
It was a happy family time. Taylor, who just turned 16, has always made Grandmother feel special.
Libby is a special gal, and Dan was lucky to get her!
Jen is still Joseph's "angel," and we love her, too.
Papa, Brooke and Great-greatmother, Aunt Maudie Mae.

The Happy Birthday sign, the smiles, the family pictures all speak of love and good wishes.
